WEEK 3 |
THE WAGES OF WINS
The greatest ever—evaluating a player’s greatness.
What’s the right score card?
You can move someone toward Christ
by…COUNTING WHAT MATTERS!
1)
Wait for PERMISSION
Wait for an opportunity
Don’t
manufacture an opportunity…allow God to provide one
By Invitation
Invitation to be a spiritual advisor
2)
Be READY…
Boy Scout motto: “Be
Prepared”
The Scout Motto is BE
PREPARED, which means you are always in a state of readiness of mind and
body to do your DUTY.
Be Prepared in Mind by disciplining yourself to be obedient to every
order, and also by thinking out beforehand any accident or situation that might
occur. Develop the habit of asking yourself "What could possibly go
wrong in this situation?" so that you know the right thing to do at the
right moment.
Be Prepared in Body by making yourself strong and active and able to do
the right thing at the right moment, then do it.
The Traditional Handbook (Robert S. S. Baden-Powell,
1908)
1 Peter 3:15
To share YOUR
story (45 seconds or less)
Doesn’t
have to be dramatic…it has to be real!
Dangers: Long-windedness, Fuzziness, Religionese,
Superiority;
Keys: Brevity, Clarity, Simplicity,
Humility
To share HIS
story
3)
Don’t worry about “the prayer”
Sharing Jesus with others is about movement, not arriving.
Don’t push…OFFER
Hold the privilege of sharing with
an open hand
Don’t take OFFENSE
This is what makes sharing hard—rejection.
Know how to HELP
them
