2.         Have your ever really craved something?  What and when was that?

3.         Read John 19:28-29 and Psalm 69:21.

4.         What did Jesus know according to John 19:28?

5.         What was Jesus’ attitude towards the Scripture?

6.         Was Jesus thirsty or just trying to fulfill Scripture?

7.         Read Psalm 69:19-21.

8.         What does this reveal about Jesus’ experience on the cross?

9.         After reading from Psalm 69, was Jesus really thirsty?

10.       What is the difference between how David in the Psalm and Jesus on the Cross in how they approach their suffering?

11.       When you suffer, how do you react?

12.       Have you ever longed for something spiritually?  If so, what?  Do you ever receive it?

13.       Read Philippians 3:10-11.

14.       Jesus’ experience on the cross reveals a close relationship to the Father.  How does Paul express his desire for a close relationship with Christ?

15.       What does it mean to “share in His sufferings”?

16.       How do you become like Him in His death?

17.       What can you do this week, so that you begin to know Christ better?

18.       Pray for one another, that you may mature and grow in your relationships with Christ.
