·         The New Age is essentially a westernization of Hindu teachings.

·         Five basic components of New Age teachings are:

1.      A new era of spiritual awakening is coming.

2.      Monistic and Pantheistic worldview.

3.      Man possesses divinity within himself.

4.      Sin is simply misdirected thought.

5.      The goal of New Age is to shed reality and enter the spirit world.

·         New Ageism finds many of its roots in Theosophy.

·         The “I AM” Activity was founded by Guy Ballard in 1932.

·         Basic teachings of the “I AM” Activity:

1.      All things are united through a common substance. 

2.      The teachings of ascended masters Saint Germain and “Beloved Jesus” are at the core of the “I AM” doctrines.

3.      Each person possesses deity.

4.      Enlightenment achieved through the invocation of the Violet Consuming Flame.

·         Counterfeits are sinful.  Remember Isaiah 14:13-14 and the account of the Fall.

·         We must remain focused on the fact that Jesus is the Son Of God, the second person of the Trinity who took on flesh and died a bloody physical death for our sins
