Lesson Four:          The Helper’s Filling

1.                  Eph. 5:18, it is possible not to be filled.

2.                  Filling is equal to control.

3.                  You have to have Christ to be a success in your spiritual life.  John 15:5

4.                  1 John 4:4, The Spirit makes us different.

5.                  Our job is to be filled with the Spirit.

6.                  Being filled is a command.  You are never commanded to be baptized, but you are commanded to be filled.

7.                  The Spirit is for every believer.

8.                  God does the filling.

9.                  To be filled is to be controlled.

…Be filled by:

            --Communicating with other believers

            ----You need input to draw on

            ----You will be controlled by what you put in yourself

            --Make melody in your heart

            ----Where is your heart?

            ----What reflects your passion?

            --Be grateful

            ----Eph. 5:20

            --Be subject to one another

            ----Be humble

            ----Serve others

11.              Develop a thirst

--Every day confess your sins, then ask the Holy Spirit to fill you. 

--For one day, take a small notebook and write down what fills your mind and heart.
